Preperations (1)

Preparing for a year long trip around the world is harder than you think.  Lots and lots of preparation is needed.  I've had to be dead on with various deadlines.  The organization I've signed up for is called languagecoprs.  The website is www.languagecorps.com  I signed up for the TESOL plus program.  It entails that I do 144 hours of training to become certified to teach English in other countries.  It is quite expensive, but this is an opportunity that I am very excited for.

     Today I got a visa, which allows me to actually enter Cambodia legally (yay!).  Initially I wanted to get a business visa which would allow me to stay there for an extended period time.  However, I got a tourist visa which allows me to stay only for 30 days :p  It was explained to me that I won't have the information needed to get a business visa until I'm actually there.  Once I get there I need to actually apply for a more permanent visa ASAP.

Final thoughts: I'm so excited/nervous/sad/angry (no I don't have multiple personalities) to leave home for the first time.  There is more to come...
